Merry Christmas!!!

Stupid Ankle

So, as all of you who know me know, I sprained my ankle really badly a few weeks ago. People ask me how I did it, expecting some awesome response like "Oh, I was saving my little brother out of a burning car" or "Yeah, I was just running the last 40 yd touchdown to win the game". Psh. Whatever. My response is way more awesome than that. Let me tell you!

So, my friend (we'll call her "R"), you know who you are, got me addicted to a certain book called "Twilight" (see amys-bookshelf.blogspot.com). This whole fiasco is her fault ( ;) and when we heard the movie was coming out, we went ahead and bought tickets to the 12:01 am showing the day it released. (Hey, we're teenagers. What can I say?) We got there about 5 hours early, of course, and went ahead and saved awesome seats. At this point, R's friend "B" was with me-- R was coming later. About 2 hrs in, I decided to go "relieve my bladder" before anything fun happened in the theater. It was already pretty dark in there, and going down the stairs, I kinda sorta missed the last one... well, not really missed so much as didn't see it and stepped off the edge of it. Yeah. Ow. Pain. Surprisingly, nobody noticed and I hobbled all the way out to the bathroom before collapsing on the floor and bursting into tears. (Let it be noted that this is not the first time I've sprained it... more lke the 4th or 5th). B came looking for me, then got the manager. He took all my info and made me use a wheelchair-- meaning I also had to sit in the wheelchair section which is pretty much one of the nastiest seats you can have in a movie theater. Weeeeell, the movie was pretty good, but the rest of the night was kinda sad. B had to take me home, and I was housebound the next two days.

Anyway, I bring all this up becuase today marks the one-month point. It's still swollen and it still hurts, so I'm still complaining.

Spin-off

I figured, since I've already got the blog account, that I might as well do another (random) one as a sort of journal. I've been needing a place to dump my brain, so here it is! Yay me!
